The package develops a combined output of 200 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque, offering brisk acceleration both off the line and coming out of corners. The most impressive part remains the fuel economy: we are talking about a combined average of just 5.4 L/100 km.
Civic Type R DNA
To ensure exceptional handling, Honda didn't cut corners. The Prelude inherits several chassis components directly from the Civic Type R.
This includes a dual-axis strut front suspension, a wider track, and a high-performance braking system with 4-piston aluminum Brembo calipers. The result is a "Grand Touring" driving experience: precise and sporty, yet comfortable enough for daily use.
Innovation: The S+ Clutch Mode
One of the big new features of this model is the introduction of the S+ Clutch Mode.
Unlike a traditional Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) which can sometimes feel "elastic," this system simulates the gear shifts of a performance transmission. It manages engine RPM and uses paddle shifters to replicate the sensation of downshifting, gear holding, and even engine sound, thereby increasing driver engagement.
